Baskins Store To Debut in Lake Charles
Western Wear and Much More

Humble, Texas – October 25, 2011 Baskins, a leading retail chain of western, work and weekend wear, plans to open its first store in Lake Charles, La. this fall. The 14,000 square foot store will open for business Friday, November 4, at 2990 East Prien Lake Rd, across from Academy. Special sales and events will help celebrate the opening. The Lake Charles location will be the 23nd store for the fast-growing retailer, which offers a large assortment of boots, hats, jeans, work wear and much more. Over 200 top-selling western brands will be sold, including thousands of the latest styles for mom, dad and the kids. An authentic western store environment and exceptional service standards are hallmarks of the Baskins experience. “As we continue to open new locations, we remain true to the many western and work styles that are so important to our customers,” said Bryan Baskin, company president. “At the same time, we stay on top of all the latest fashion and lifestyle trends that complement our contemporary western approach, and we aim to deliver on our brand promise of, ‘Baskins, it fits your life.’ Baskins is a one-stop-shopping experience, with more than 14 different departments featured in each store. Justin, Tony Lama and Ariat and more are among the name brands that fill rows and rows of boot inventory. Brands like Resistol and Stetson hats cover an entire wall. And with Wrangler, Cinch, Levi’s and others, Baskins is the jeans headquarters. Whether it is flame resistant work wear or gear for the ranch, Baskins has a vast selection of clothing to fit any work environment. And with accessories and home décor merchandise, Baskins offers more than just traditional western clothing. The Lake Charles store will employ between 15 and 20 people. Jacob Sepmoree is the local General Manager for the Lake Charles store. Baskins stores, which began in 1972 in Trinity, Texas, are well known for the unique customer experience they provide. Sales associates are trained to be western fashion specialists and have an outgoing approach to helping customers. “We hire and train an excellent staff of associates who understand the Baskins service proposition,” Baskin said. “That includes knowing everything about the merchandise we sell.” Headquartered in Humble, Texas, retail stores in the Baskins system are primarily located in eastern Texas.
